You can attract barn owls to your garden using the Barn Owl nest box. Forsham Cottage arks have proudly formed a partnership with the Wildlife Conservation Partnership to manufacture a versatile, attractive but also durable owl box. The "A" frame owl box design came into being in 1994 from experience of over 20 years of research and conservation.
The owl nest box, is light to install, and lends itself to being positioned alongside choice habitats on farms or estates.
The "A" frame nest box is constructed from 12mm Marine ply, and fixed with stainless steel screws and brass fitments, for easy installation. The box also comes a platform which allows the owls to land and take of easily. Young owls can also use the platform to move about outside and exercise.on
Where to place your Barn Own nest box - Barn owls are looking for holes to live in rather than boxes themselves. So it is important that the hole is clearly visible. You can install the box on isolated or hedgerow trees, or on poles, alongside grass field margins. You can also install them on buildings (inside or out). If you are placing the box in a tree, then you should attach it to the tree trunk where it might be spotted by an owl as it flies past.
