Feed and Water Troughs
Absolutely ideal feeder or drinker for water fowl who are ''shovel feeders'' and need full access to the feed. Where as with poultry it is vital the feed remains dry for ducks this is not a requirement. So can be left in the open. Although it is feasible to use open toughs for hens, they will scratch the feed out of the trough wasting it and will also pooh'' in it . . . not nice. They come in the sizes listed below pictured from top to bottom (We no longer stock the 30" and 36" versions).
- 12"x5"x3" Galvanised Trough | 1kg feed or 1.7 litre water.
- 18"x5"x3" Galvanised Trough | 1.5kg feed or 2.5 litre water.
- 24"x5"x3" Galvanised Trough | 2kg feed or 3.4 litre water.
As a guide, allow 0.8 litre of water per bird/day & 0.2kg of feed per bird/day
